Privacy Policy

This policy explains how out&abt ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the out&abt mobile app for iOS and Android (the "App").
Information we collect
- Phone number. We use your phone number to create your account and sign you in with a one-time text message code.
- Profile information. The name and username you add to your profile.
- Saved places. Activities and places you save or favorite in the App.
- Location. With your permission, the App uses your device's location while it is open to show nearby activities and distances. Your location is processed on your device and is not stored on our servers. You can turn off location access at any time in your device settings.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically records basic request data such as IP address, device type and timestamps to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To show activities near you and remember the places you save.
- To fix bugs, prevent abuse and improve the App.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information, show third-party ads, or use your data to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the App:
- Supabase, which hosts our database and handles account sign-in.
- Our SMS provider, which delivers your sign-in codes and receives your phone number for that purpose.
- Apple Maps and Google Maps, which display the in-app map.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the App under Profile → Edit Profile → Delete account, or from our account deletion page. Deleting your account permanently removes your phone number, profile and saved places. Copies in backups are removed within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information. To make a request, email us at support@outnabt.app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
